AMAZING,Nokia Dual-SIM Phones !

I’m very happy to have been part of the Nokia C2-00 and X1-01 launch at Spicy Fingers Restaurant last June 9. We were all very excited to see the new Nokia phones, which are 1) dual-SIM and 2) easy swap! Really amazing, isn’t it?

From the registration the excitement begins. The first 20 guests who brought two old Nokia phones had the chance to swap them with the new one. I also won A Nokia C2-00, thanks to Ms. Nikka Abes of Nokia Philippines and Fuentes Manila.

The event had a lot of games and prizes. The show was hosted by GMA-7 Dabarkads Ruby Rodriguez, with a funny double “Petite.” The show started with games from Eat Bulaga. We had Pinoy Henyo, which I played but didn’t win. Now I know how hard it is to be on that game!

 This was followed by “Hakot SIM Card,” similar to Eat Bulaga’s “Hakot Coins/Barya” game. At first I was wondering how they’ll do it, because a SIM card is a lot smaller and lighter compared to coins. But then it turned out to be really fun - they used a sandok! The great part is that the contestants were able to fill up their container with SIM cards.

Afterwards, the newest endorser of Nokia came in, and it was no other than Dabarkads’ Vic ‘Bossing’ Sotto! He was very proud to announce the arrival of the Nokia C2-00, as well as the commercial that will be running soon. He also introduced the X1-01, which according to Bossing is also dual-SIM. So, both phones basically offer the most convenient and intuitive experience in switching SIM cards, without compromising all the fun and features.

Celebrating "Bicol Feast in Bayview Park Hotel"

Bloggers were invited to taste the feast from Bicol Region which is much known because of their delicious coconut milk food such as, Bicol express a pork strips or cubes and siling berde (finger chillies) cooked in coconut milk or cream with a very spicy taste. Laing, a dish whose origin is attributed to Bicol region; it is the taro (gabi) leaves cooked in coconut milk. Adobo sa Gata, chicken cooked in soy sauce with coconut cream, they also served us mix kakanin and not only that, they also have Pili-nuts well-known delicacies from Albay.

Samsung Microwave with Hohenstein Institute

SEOUL – May 3, 2011 – Furthering its leadership in the home appliances sector, Samsung Electronics became the first in the world to receive a microwave certification mark for anti-bacterial technology, recognizing the company’s ceramic enamel cavity inside. The Hohenstein Institute, an internationally recognized research and service center for hygiene and biotechnology in Germany, tested Samsung’s microwaves and validated its anti-bacterial performance.

Due to the high level of durability, the ceramic enamel cavity found in Samsung’s microwave does not come off, turn rusty or crack, thus preventing it from becoming dirty. Further, the ceramic enamel cavity does not discolorate even in high temperatures and prevents bacteria from proliferation. The Hohenstein Institute has accredited that Samsung’s microwave oven has added anti-bacterial agents to ceramic enamel cavity, which has high durability against corrosion.

The Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) acknowledged that Samsung Electronics’ anti-bacterial ceramic enamel cavity ensures a level of durability that is at least 7.5 times higher than iron plate to which epoxy coating is applied.

“Our antibacterial ceramic enamel cavity is created the way pottery is produced,” said Mr. Chang Wan Hong, executive vice president of the Samsung Digital Appliances business. “We apply antibacterial porcelain enamel that is produced in high temperatures – up to 830 degrees Celsius – to the inside of a microwave. The result is a high-class material that has a smooth, shiny surface like that of a piece of pottery. We’re the only company in the world to have such a feature in microwave ovens.”

Samsung Electronics plans to apply its antibacterial technology to all microwave product groups to provide consumers with healthier tools for cooking.
