Celebrating "Bicol Feast in Bayview Park Hotel"

The Bayview Park Hotel is located along Manila’s Roxas Boulevard fronting the U.S. Embassy. The hotel sits with a full view of Manila Bay and is easily reachable from Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the PICC, CCP, and the World Trade Center. The Department of Tourism project of “Kulinarya Festival 2011” and in participation of Hotels and Restaurants Association of the Philippines (HRAP) will be held on July 1- 30 of 2011. The Bayview Park Hotel is one of the participating hotels that will cater Philippine food, arts and crafts. According to, Atty.Eugene Yap, General Manager “This is one of the projects from department of Tourism in promoting Philippines most specially the Filipino Cuisine”.

Bloggers were invited to taste the feast from Bicol Region which is much known because of their delicious coconut milk food such as, Bicol express a pork strips or cubes and siling berde (finger chillies) cooked in coconut milk or cream with a very spicy taste. Laing, a dish whose origin is attributed to Bicol region; it is the taro (gabi) leaves cooked in coconut milk. Adobo sa Gata, chicken cooked in soy sauce with coconut cream, they also served us mix kakanin and not only that, they also have Pili-nuts well-known delicacies from Albay.



Bayview Park Hotel’s Lobby Coffee Shop will offer Filipiniana Theme Lunch Buffet. Chef Gilbert has to plan a feature of the different Filipino delicacies by region such as Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. It will be a month -long festivity from july1-30, at affordable lunch buffet of 600/head and merienda buffet 300/head


This is a perfect day to start a week, to see that our government agency such as DOT is very aggressive in promoting our country not only to foreigners but most especially to Filipinos. And thanks to HRAP, most especially Bayview Park Hotel for supporting local government projects.
