Real Living, Metro Home, MyHome with Samsung Notebook Series 9

The Samsung Notebook Series 9 – the thinnest, lightest and brightest notebook by Samsung.
Samsung’s IN PERSPECTIVE truly inspired as three of the country’s top home and lifestyle magazines, Metro Home, My Home and Real Living Magazine fantastically recreated the features of the Samsung Notebook Series 9 into a one-of-a-kind home design.

Samsung Notebook Series 9

Metro Home interprets the thinness of the Samsung Notebook Series 9 as a reflection of a homeowner’s unique character, yet not in that typical negative way. According to Metro Home editor Carlo Tadiar, “A homeowner believes that the important aesthetics are in the essentials. Thinness is not necessarily the result of vanity; it is more the condition of wanting only the essential.”

My Home Magazine fashioned a light and breezy living space, an epitome of rest and relaxation, that truly felt as light as air. My Home Magazine wanted the feelings of convenience and comfort to be present in their design. According to Jie Pambid, editor-in-chief of My Home, “The feeling is anything but heavy. White surfaces shine and glow as light bounce and create reflections of light. Light on light.”

Real Living Magazine interpreted the Samsung Series 9’s brightness in three ways – light, intellect and color. Real Living Magazine created a beautiful and efficient living space. “The functional pieces found in this small area also serve as decors – including the sleek Samsung Notebook which served as a light source. Who says reading nooks are boring? Style plus function meets a small reading corner – truly a bright idea, “added Rachelle Medina, editor-in-chief of Real Living.

Samsung Notebook series 9

“Expect only the best as Samsung takes your laptop experience to an even greater level with truly comprehensive mobile experiences and the best in display offering our customers a complete and comprehensive notebook that meets all of their needs with one premium device with the Samsung Notebook Series 9,” said Hannah Francisco, Samsung NPC Product Manager.

The Samsung Notebook Series 9  is the world’s THINNEST measuring only 16.3mm (0.64 inches) in depth, and with a screen size of 13 inches; the world’s LIGHTEST with a weight of only 1.31 kg (2.88lbs), and; the worlds BRIGHTEST -- using only Samsung’s LED technology: ‘SuperBright Plus’ display (400 nit) with 16 million color reproduction, 80% brighter than other notebooks, all encased in the most advanced duralumin metal alloy used in specialized aircrafts, making it durable yet stylish and ultra light.

The Samsung Notebook Series 9 is available at Php 79,990.00 with a three-year warranty (12 months 0% interest on all major credit cards).

Lately as women have more and more skin care products to choose from, they are having a difficult time deciding which product will give them the flawless white skin they dream of. With the right product, they know that fair, beautiful skin can be possible. However, time and time again, certain products fail to produce the results women hope for. Pond’s, however, does otherwise. Pond’s promises every woman that it can and will do just that. It continues to be unbeaten by others.

Attesting once again what Pond’s Flawless White promises in seven days, see your skin become visibly lighter and dark spots reduced. With VAO-B3 complex, it has been clinically proven to be unbeaten when tested against prestige whitening creams. Pond’s Flawless White offers superior lightening properties against dark spots and blemishes as opposed to expensive brands. Its unique VAO-B3 complex offers maximum whitening performance by working towards the root of the problem, reducing the production and transfer of melanin at its source. Women can finally have the confidence to achieve radiant and flawless white skin, and maintain the beauty and romance in their lives without it having to be expensive.
Showcasing the unrivaled power of Pond’s Flawless White, Pond’s presents “The Unbeaten Whitening Experience.” Pond’s invited today’s top beauty bloggers to handpick a premium-brand-conscious friend who subscribes to the idea of “more expensive means more effective” when it comes to their skin lightening regimen. This friend took on the challenge to use the entire Pond’s Flawless White range and proved that expensive doesn’t always mean better for fairer, flawless and radiant skin.

With the bloggers tasked to chronicle the effects of Pond’s Flawless White, these women observed and compared the results of their Pond’s experience with their previous skin care regimen experience. Throughout the three weeks, bloggers posted exciting revelations about her partner as her friend’s face visibly became fairer and flawlessly radiant with Pond’s. Because updates were posted in the Pond’s website, readers discovered that they too can have a flawless face without having to spend too much. Readers were also invited to vote until April 10, 2011 for their favorite team on the Pond’s website so that their chosen pair gets the chance to win the Grand Prize – a two-page Pond’s Flawless White magazine feature in the June 2011 issue of the country’s top publications.

The nine teams was also judged by the most prestigious magazines’ editors-in-chief – Mega’s Sari Yap, Cosmopolitan’s Zo Aguila, and Metro’s Michelle Torres, who will deem which team represented Pond’s the best.
The nine Pond’s bloggers and women handpicked for “The Unbeaten Whitening Experience” include Michelle Martinez and Cathleen Lao (The Queen of Talk and the Quirky Attorney), Rowena Lei and Catherine Gensolin (The Active Bloggermom and the Certified Mompreneur), Sophie Uy and Nikki Tiu (The Beauty Nerd and the Energizer Bunny), Jheng Santos-Baluyot and Shen Gee (The Artsy Techie and the Beauty Addict), Tara Cabullo and Dang Villanueva (The Beauty Advocate and the Chic Traveler), Lace Llanora and Earth Rullan (The Inventive Writer and the Fearless Pinay), Ginger Arboleda and Reena Sarmiento (The Multi-Role Player and The Happiness Magnet), Liz Lanuzo and Tanya Baldovino (The Make-Up Enthusiast and the Witty Fashionista), and Martha Sta. HAUTE TEXTURE: A COLLECTION BY ERIC RAISINA AT FASHION WATCH 2011

The much raved about fashion series is back for good, amped up and better than ever! This year 2011 marks the revival of Fashion Watch as they kick-off with their first ASEAN designer in the roster.

With only Filipino designers in the past, Fashion Watch Quartet widens its influence together with the Alliance Française de Manille and the Embassy of France to the Philippines as they present the French-Malagasy Fashion Designer Eric Raisina in a unique fashion show featuring Eric Raisina’s collection “Haute Texture” on April 13, 2011 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. Eric Raisina’s fashion show will be followed by a private sale.

Eric Raisina, a designer based in Cambodia showcases his special collection “Haute Texture”. His designs are composed of unique pieces and accessories which demonstrate his passion and talent for style. He specializes in design and sewing natural materials such as silk, raffia, sisal, linen and cotton. His taste for exploration compelled him to discover new cultures and diverse techniques in Africa as well as in Asia. His collections have been shown in Asia, Africa, Europe and the United States.

Winning the prize of New Young Talent at the Fashion Festival and Textile Competition Manja enabled him to study in Paris at the Ecole Duperré where he excelled in the creation of textiles. He began entering his creations in the Haute Couture shows in Paris, and graduated with a Master’s degree from the Institut français de la Mode in 1999.

Various experiences gave him the confidence to start his own workshop where he trained weavers, seamstresses and embroiderers. Research began on new textures, colors, unique weave patterns, most notably Silk Fur (for which he has a patent) and Natural Raffia lace. He was commissioned to create unique textures for the fashion houses of Yves Saint- Laurent and Christian Lacroix. The textures, in and of themselves, inspire the creation of his collection without resorting to the need for sketches.

Fashion Watch Quartet, a fashion show series initially created by Richard Tann and Inno Sotto, sprung unto the scene in 1996. Shows were held twice a year and served as avenues for promising young designers to showcase their talent and have their work displayed for all to see. Year after year, the much awaited series brought to the forefront fresh new talent and the most exciting fashion.

As it returns to the fashion scene for 2011, Fashion Watch Quartet will run from March to November, 2011. Each week will feature the collection of two designers in back-to-back format, who will have his/her creations unveiled to all through a fashion show held at the lobby area of the prestigious Shangri-La Makati Hotel. Besides its regular shows, Fashion Watch will stage special shows as SEVERAL internationally known ASEAN designers will be flown in to display their creations to the Filipino public. Fashion Watch 2011 is a project of the CFDP (Council of Fashion Designers of the Philippines).

“Haute Texture” is a FrancoPhil event organized by Fashion Watch, the Alliance
Française de Manille and the French Embassy to the Philippines with the support of Air France-KLM, Total, Veolia Water and Makati Shangri-La hotel.

Triumph Inspiration Award 2011 (Berlin Beckons)

Global leader and lingerie giant, Triumph International, is set to break records this year with the Triumph Inspiration Award 2011. Now on its 4th consecutive year, the competition is at its biggest with 37 participating countries, with the grand finals taking center stage at the opening night of the Berlin Fashion Week in July no less.

Poised to capture design talent from around the world, Triumph International worked hand in hand with local prestigious fashion and design schools to bringing the competition at the grass roots level. Triumph International Philippines, in partnership with the School of Fashion and the Arts (SoFa), has geared up for the Triumph Inspiration Award 2011, with ten students vying to represent the Philippines in the international finals.

Judging this year’s national competition to be held on April 13 at Members Only, are some of fashion and design luminaries, which include Rissa Mananquil, Amina Aranaz-Alunan and Dong Omaga-Diaz, joined by 2008 Triumph Inspiration Award National Winner and now fashion designer, Ralph Ng, and Head of Sales & Marketing of Triumph International Philippines, Lorelei de Leon.

As if things cannot get any bigger this year, 2011 also marks the 125th anniversary of Triumph, to which the young designers will be creating their interpretations of the theme “125 Years of Celebrating Women.” Admittedly quite a challenge and pressure for the contestants, the top ten final designs ranging from romantic, tribal, down to avant-garde, did not disappoint. CREATIONS Salon, by top hair and make-up artist Lourd Ramos, lent its creative expertise in enhancing each and every peg from the look book, making the judging quite a feat with all the entries now equally strong contenders to be the Philippines’ official entry in the finals.

With the competition tougher as ever, Triumph has taken the match online and making your votes count to determine the People’s Choice Award. Visit the Triumph International Philippines fan page to view the final designs and cast a vote for your favorite pieces.

It would be too ambitious to say that we will win in the finals, but one thing is for sure, the Philippines is in it to win it, and we are taking Berlin by storm.
